Here’s how to identify what you have: check the label on the end bearing plate or the winding cone itself. Amarr typically stamps the wire gauge, inside diameter, and length. If the label’s rusted off, we measure the old spring with calipers on the truck. The Classica doors often run .250 wire with a 2-inch inside diameter, while Lincoln insulated doors may need .262 or .273 to handle the extra panel weight.

• The door feels heavy or drops fast when you release it. A torsion spring stores energy to offset the door’s weight.
